Entrepreneurship for me began in the music industry, where I first experienced the power of independence and community support. Walking through the streets of Chicago, where I grew up, and seeing people embrace what I created showed me that when you do something positive, people respond.
Distributing my music independently taught me the importance of being hands-on and in control of my own success, which ultimately shaped my entrepreneurial mindset. My journey into the skincare and beauty industry was deeply personal. Living with eczema, I watched my mother search for ways to heal my skin. As I got older, I began experimenting with natural ingredients myself. With my daughter carefully measuring and documenting everything, we created products that we tested on me first. The transformation was undeniable; my skin became healthier and looked better than it had in years.
What I value most is helping others heal. Creating products that solve real skin problems gives me purpose and fulfillment every day.

Entrepreneurship began as a moment of clarity during a frustrating time in school. I faced concerns about credits and direction that pushed me to reflect deeply. I asked myself a simple but powerful question: what do I truly want to do? The answer was clear; become an entrepreneur. That decision sparked a journey rooted in purpose and independence.
The path into the skincare and beauty industry came organically through owning a general merchandise store. Out of all the merchandise we sold, customers consistently gravitated toward skincare items, especially freshly whipped shea butter made in-store, revealing a strong demand and a bigger opportunity to serve the beauty and skincare community.
As a Chicago native, I'm proud of the healthy impact the company that I co-own has on the beauty and skincare community. We've been able to expand our reach and leave our branding footprint all over the country through our two online stores based on Shopify and Temu.
